A Sweet Master En Suite

One of the things this house had from the very beginning was an awesome Master Bathroom. We haven't done much to the Master Bathroom since shortly after we moved in. We replaced the recessed lighting with a contemporary chandelier and hung white linen curtains.

I also added an accent lamp on the countertop between the his-and-her closets as well as a brightly colored glass vase with bright faux hydrangeas. I really like the pop of color the flowers and vase add in a mostly neutral bathroom, and the little lamp is perfect ambient lighting at night.

Master Bedroom

But the actual bedroom, albeit large, was mostly a unicolored room with another one of those awkward recessed spaces that's adopted purpose was a a baby changing station. While it worked great for that, it doesn't really promote a master oasis when you're trying to sell a house.

So we decided to make it an absolutely awesome sitting area - with shiplap!

I ordered this Farmhouse Armchair and a seafoam side table on which a placed a handmade rolled linen baby blanket on the lower shelf. Add a cute little accent table lamp and this romantic p.s. I love you sign, and you have yourself a cozy sitting area in a large Master Bedroom!

We also painted one feature wall behind the bed in Sherwin Williams Cocoa Whip and hung white linen curtains as well as installed a new ceiling fan.

Crown moulding was added, and although Hubby installed it upside down, everyone loves it and thinks it looks better that way! :)

Finally, the crown jewel of this wonderfully update Master Bedroom is the custom shiplap headboard topped with a piece of crown moulding. It was painted the same color as the trim, so it really fits the space, and all of the whites match! What a transformation!
